Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – President Donald Trump has ordered flags to be lowered to half mast in honor of Sarah Beckstrom, the West Virginia Guardsman and 2023 Webster Strings graduate who died after being shot in Washington, D.C., last week.
The other guardsman injured in the shooting, Andrew Wolfe, is still in the hospital in critical condition, although his family says there are encouraging signs.
The gunman, an Afghan National who was a member of a CIA-backed partner force in Afghanistan, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges.
