Pipestem, WV (WOAY) – Southern WV resort to host prestigious archery competition.
According to a media release, Pipestem Resort State Park will host the first leg of the International Bowhunting Organization (IBO) Triple Crown archery competition taking place May 15-18, 2025.
The competition is expected to draw over 1000 archers from the United States and other countries.
The event will begin on Thursday, May 15, at 8 a.m., with amateur and professional archers competing in multiple divisions. Winners will be awarded Prizes on Sunday evening before the event wraps up and equipment is packed up for the second leg of the Triple Crown.
The event is free, and spectators are encouraged to attend and experience the action up close. Fans will also have the opportunity to take home a variety of archery-related products and outdoor gear from vendors on site.
“This event highlights West Virginia State Parks’ ability to accommodate major sporting competitions while offering a spectacular natural setting for both participants and spectators,” said Dillard Price, Acting Chief of WV State Parks. “We look forward to welcoming archers and guests from around the world to Pipestem.”
Later this year West Virginia State Parks will once again welcome top archers as Cacapon Resort State Park hosts the 2025 World IBO Championship in August, bringing even competitors from all over the globe and spectators to the Mountain State.
