Beckley, WV (WOAY) A multi-day enforcement operation in Raleigh County has resulted in the seizure of nearly 7,000 illicit THC products.

The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office and Beckley Police Department say the operation was conducted in response to multiple citizen complaints about the sale of THC products to underage buyers.

Investigators, with assistance from state regulatory agencies, conducted undercover purchases at several tobacco and vape stores.

Search warrants were executed September 30 at four Beckley locations: Beckley Smoker Inc., Adam Tobacco and Vape, Raleigh Tobacco and More, and MacArthur Smoke Shop.

Officials say the searches led to the seizure of nearly 7,000 products valued at about $124,500.

More than $57,000 in cash and one firearm were also seized.

Two people named in the release, Abdulatif Yasser Altahami and Hada Abulhakeem Taher Abdullah, are facing charges for delivery of a controlled substance.

The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities saying additional arrests or administrative actions are anticipated.
