Pendleton Community Bank breaks ground on new Daniels location

Daniels, WV (WOAY) – Pendleton Community Bank broke ground Thursday on a new financial center at 1242 Ritter Drive in Daniels, marking the bank’s second location in Raleigh County and its 16th overall.

The ceremony was held in partnership with the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce. Beckley Mayor, Ryan Neal, attended in support of the project.

“When you have banks opening up instead of closing down, I know that’s a sign of where your economy and where your city and the surrounding areas is,” Neal said. “To have a new bank being put in right here is great for our community.”

Among the planned features at the new branch is what CEO Bill Loving is calling the Pay It Forward Coffee Bar, a program that allows customers to make contributions through coffee purchases, with proceeds distributed to local nonprofit organizations.

“We’re looking forward to opening a modern banking facility that will provide service to clients in the market, as well as what we’re going to call it, the Pay It Forward coffee bar,” Loving said. “Basically, it’s a way in which customers can make contributions through, not necessarily buying, but having coffee. And then the money will be distributed by nonprofit organizations in the community. We want to give back to the community that’s going to support us.”

The branch will also offer a courier service, allowing bank staff to pick up deposits directly from customers who prefer not to come in. Loving says a ribbon cutting is still months away, with an expected opening of late 2026 or early 2027.
