Part Three of Early Week Storm Commences This Afternoon

Following a dose of moderate snow accumulation and ice, the calm before the final round of significant weather is occurring this morning.

Chief Meteorologist Chad Merrill has the details on the Lake Country morning show with Bill Wise (our radio partner):

 

The abbreviated version:

Now til 2 p.m.: Patchy fog and drizzle…. freezing drizzle in the Greenbrier Valley.

2 p.m. to Midnight: Another 1.5″ of snow. NW 10-15 with gusts to 25 mph. Refreezing of melted snow and ice.

Midnight to Daybreak Tuesday: NW at 10-15 mph with flurries.

Temps drop to 13 degrees tonight.

Highs in the teens rest of the week.

Friday AM: Coldest temp (no wind) with single digits. Single digit wind chills most of the week.

Tuesday will be cloudy with a few flurries.

Another half inch of snow Wednesday evening with a front.

Good chance for at least light snow on Saturday.

Pattern flip to sustainable warmer temperatures will occur January 20-25.
