First Energy and Mon Power have planned an outage for August 31 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
There will be approximately 775 people without power in Ballard, Forest Hill, Wayside, and Hinton. Downtown Hinton itself will not be affected.
The outage will allow for upgrades to power facilities in the area.
If the weather is bad, the outage will be postponed until September 6.
