Organizers will make final decision on The State Fair in June

FAIRLEA, WV (WOAY) – Officials with The West Virginia State Fair say the fair is still on, but that organizers will make a final decision on whether to cancel or not in June.

Kelly Collins, Chief Executive Officer of The State Fair told WOAY “at this point, we are still planning.  However, we are listening to guidance from our local and state officials, as well as the CDC. Looking for a June final decision.”

The fair is scheduled for August 13-22 in Fairlea.

Numerous events, fairs, and festivals have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
