Charleston, WV (WOAY) The Office of the West Virginia State Fire Marshal is continuing efforts to modernize its services, now expanding its online platform to include inspections.
The new system moves requests and reports from paper to a fully electronic portal, aimed at improving efficiency across the state.
Officials say this means faster inspection scheduling, quicker report turnaround times, and real-time tracking for users.
Once an inspection is complete, reports will be automatically emailed and stored in the user’s account for easy access.
To get started, visit firemarshal.wv.gov, head to the Inspections Division page, and create an account.
The portal includes several types of inspection requests, from annual and construction inspections to mobile food unit checks.
Officials note there may be minor bugs during the rollout and ask for patience as improvements are made.
