Beaver, WV (WOAY)- A major opportunity is knocking for southern West Virginia residents in an Amazon delivery van.
The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA) is encouraging local entrepreneurs to partner with Amazon as Delivery Service Partners, helping to launch and operate package delivery businesses at the new Beaver facility.
NRGRDA Executive Director Jina Belcher says Amazon is offering full support, including training, a business coach, and steep discounts on startup costs like vans, uniforms, and insurance.
Each DSP business could create between 40 and 100 jobs, giving a serious boost to the local economy.
Belcher states that, with as little as $10,000 to start, business owners can expect revenues between $1 million and $4.5 million per year and profits of up to $300,000.
