Nicholas County, WV (WOAY) – A summer-long celebration of local food is still underway in Nicholas County.
The Nicholas County Local Food Crawl runs every weekend through Aug. 29, spotlighting restaurants, coffee shops and local producers across the county.
The event connects local businesses with area farmers through the West Virginia Grown Program. Organizers say each stop features menu items made with ingredients grown and produced in Nicholas County.
Participating spots include businesses in Summersville, Richwood, Craigsville and Mount Nebo. Organizers say those who take part can also enter to win a West Virginia Grown basket and other prizes.
