West Virginia (WOAY)- New River Community and Technical College, in collaboration with Gear Up Southern West Virginia, will offer free career exploration camps this summer for rising 9th and 10th graders.
The camp is open to students in Raleigh, Mercer, Wyoming, Summer, and Monroe counties.
These hands-on, two-day camps allow students to explore different career paths, gain valuable skills, and learn from industry experts.
Students will engage in interactive learning experiences designed to spark interest in high-demand fields while having fun and making real-world connections.
Camp offerings include West Virginia Adventure for adventure seekers, Vital Path for those seeking healthcare careers, All Torqued Up for mechanic enthusiasts, Sewing with Fire for aspiring welders, and Innovators of Tomorrow for those who love robotics.
Interested students can sign up by completing the online registration form, which will open on March 17.
