Nicholas County, WV (WOAY) – New River Community and Technical College will offer 40-hour surface mining and 80-hour underground mining courses at its Nicholas County campus.
The course is designed to get students ready to pass the state certification exam. The course includes first aid and CPR training.
The surface mine class runs from November 10 through the 21, Monday through Friday, from 4 p.m. To 8 p.m. It costs $175.
The underground mine class runs from November 10 through the 21, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until noon. It costs $350.
