Two Fayette County men sentenced on federal gun charges

Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – Two Fayette County men have been sentenced to prison on federal gun charges.

Jauwan Watts and Lesley Watkins were both sentenced for being felons in possession of a firearm.

Watts pleaded guilty to breaking into a Fayette County pawn shop three times, stealing 33 guns, ammunition, coins, and a video game console.

Watkins received several of those stolen guns. 16 guns still have not been recovered.

Watts was sentenced to eight years in prison. Watkins was sentenced to three years and ten months in prison. Both will serve three years of additional supervised release.
