DANIELS, WV (WOAY) – May 5, Teacher Appreciation Day, aims to get people to recognize the importance of teachers in the community.
Since schools have been closed and kids are staying home, many parents find themselves in a situation similar to that of teachers.
Gina Justice, a second grade teacher at Daniels Elementary School thinks that the transition can be difficult for parents, and that teachers are there to help them.
“Now with virtual learning, parents are experiencing what we experience on a daily basis. And we hope that’s going well at home. We’re here to support our parents,” Gina said.
Many schools are temporarily bringing teachers back in to start discussions on how to handle the Fall semester when students come back.
