Montgomery to honor Chief Filiaggi during fireworks display

MONTGOMERY, WV (WOAY) – The city of Montgomery has scheduled its annual fireworks display for July 3, starting at 10 p.m.

The display will be located at the Tech Field.

The Montgomery Fire Department says residents should be able to see the fireworks from anywhere in town.

The show starts with six large shells being set off, followed by thirty seconds of silence in memory of Fire Chief Benny Filiaggi, who passed away last month. The six shells were donated by Premier Pyrotechnics.

There will also be festivities along the 400 block of Third Avenue starting at 7 p.m.
