Elkins, WV (WOAY) We have a tragic update in the case of a missing Randolph County woman.
We previously reported that the West Virginia State Police (WVSP) were asking for the public’s help in locating 64-year-old Gabrielle L. Allen of Vienna.
State Police confirm that Allen was found deceased on Wednesday, March 25, at 7:30 p.m.
Authorities report her remains were discovered by a private landowner tending to their property located adjacent to Route 219, not far from the initial search area.
Allen was last seen shortly after midnight Sunday, March 15, at a home on Rolling Lane in Elkins. Â
Authorities say Allen is diagnosed with bipolar disorder and takes several medications. Â
Her personal belongings were found along U.S. Route 219 after she was reported missing.
