WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Mostly cloudy skies will persist through the day with a few isolated showers in the mix thanks to a coastal low impacting the Mid-Atlantic coast. The rain will primarily be in Pocahontas and Greenbrier counties with nay rainfall being minimal across the region. Temperatures will also be cooler during the day thanks to the abundant cloud cover, keeping us in the low to mid-70s. However, we’ll switch back to dry and warm weather later this week. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
Wednesday may see a shower or two across the region, but these will quickly fade through the day as the coastal low leaves the Mid-Atlantic coast. High pressure will squeeze the leftovers out of the region early Thursday, bringing us back to dry and warm weather. Temperatures in the 80s and not very humid weather may bring some minor to moderate fire weather concerns, even though we are not in the Autumn fire season yet. Friday will be similar, which is good news for the football games across the region. Thankfully, rain will be on the way later into the forecast period, as shown below:

Cloud cover slowly increases through the weekend, with rain chances arriving Sunday and increasing into Monday. There is some uncertainty concerning when the next frontal system will make its way to the region, but we do know it will be in the first half of next week.
