Mercer County, WV (WOAY)- The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department is warning the community about a phone scam.
The department has received reports of scammers calling individuals, pretending to be Medicaid representatives, and asking them for personal information.
Authorities advise the public to not provide these callers with any of their sensitive information over the phone and to contact their local Medicaid representative.
