Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – The return of the school year means more young drivers regularly on the roads.
Deputy Chief Shannon Prince with the Oak Hill Police Department says many teens are driving on their own for the first time this fall, some just months or weeks since earning their license over the summer, and now is the right time for families to talk about safety behind the wheel.
He says that one of the worst things an inexperienced driver can do is be distracted, and new drivers need to focus all of their attention where it matters most: the road.
