Bradley, WV (WOAY)- A long-time Fayette County 911 dispatcher and supervisor has put her experiences to paper, becoming a published writer.
Local author Bertha Blankenship will host a signing event this Friday, November 15, for copies of her book “Heroes Behind the Headset: About Real People Dealing with Real-Life Issues.”
The book is based on Blankenship’s journal entries about her career after the passing of her husband and the feelings that followed.
Gifts and refreshments will be available for those who attend.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
Participants are encouraged to bring their copy of the book if they already have one to be signed.
The event will be at the Bradley Fire Department from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
