LIV Golf is coming back to Greenbrier County

WHITE SULFUR SPRINGS, WV (WOAY)- The professional golf league LIV Golf has made its way to the Greenbrier Resort for the second year in a row. The tournament will take place on August 16-18.

LIV Golf is proud to bring a fan-serving atmosphere.

“A lot of fun. It’s a lot different than a regular PGA Tour event, in that there’s music that plays the entire time. So from the moment you come on-site to throughout play, there’s music playing at every single hole,” said Brian Flajole, Director of LIV Golf Greenbrier. “It’s kind of a party atmosphere or fun, atmosphere. Not quite as serious, while the players are taking it very seriously. It’s not as quite of a serious atmosphere as some of the PGA Tour events are, partly because there’s noise at all times and not having to hush everybody when somebody goes to putt because the music’s already blaring and they’re ready to go. So it’s a little bit about kind of LIV being a little different league than the PGA Tour ones.”

LIV Golf is excited to bring its event to Greenbrier County again.

“Greenbrier has just been a great representative for golf in the area and for professional golf, especially,” said Flajole. “They held nine PGA Tour events. We held the LIV event last year. The fans come out. The whole community really embraces, LIV golf.”

If you’re interested in the fun, gates open at 11 a.m. and tee-off is at 1 p.m. You can visit the link below for tickets. If you’re unsure if you’d like to go, the director would like to leave you with this thought.

“I think if you haven’t been out to a golf event ever, this would be the one to come to. Only because it’s different than anything you’ll ever see,” said Flajole.
