ATLANTIC COAST (WOAY) – With shoppers wiping out toilet paper and soap at local stores, Kroger makes sure its associates are prepared.
Kroger Atlantic Corporate Affairs Manager Allison McGee says stores get new shipments every day to restock its shelves, but it’s hard to keep up with the demand. Across the region, stores see cleaning supplies and toilet paper disappearing from shelves almost immediately.
A major concern on everyone’s mind is staying healthy during the outbreak at the one place hundreds of people may visit every day.
“We are cleaning frequently touched services multiple times an hour,” said McGee. “We also have an associate dedicated [to] cleaning the car handles for customers and then personally greeting them as they come in to shop with us…We’ve dedicated the first hour of each day to serve our senior and high-risk customers.”
Despite hiring thousands over the past two weeks, Kroger is still looking for employees. To apply for a position, click here.
