Kroger delivers over 8,000 pounds of ground beef to West Virginia food banks

WEST VIRGINIA, WV (WOAY) – This week, Kroger delivers over 8,000 pounds of ground beef to West Virginia food banks.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kroger Mid-Atlantic has donated nearly $300,000 throughout the Mid-Atlantic Division to help ensure that families and children have access to food.

“Kroger has been a great partner and they’re always willing to lend a hand when we need it and willing to step up anytime you know,” said Gabri Bonazzo Communication Coordinator. “Even before the pandemic started Kroger was a great partner to us. Yeah, I definitely foresee that partnership continuing to grow and continuing to help the state of West Virginia.”

This contribution follows a more than $40,000 donation of food and funds to the same two food banks last week.
