Kimball Elementary School closed after positive COVID-19 case

MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Kimball Elementary School in McDowell County is dismissing students after a positive COVID-19 case was identified.

According to McDowell County Schools, the positive case was confirmed at Kimball Elementary School.  After conducting initial contact tracing and investigations, it was determined by the McDowell County Health Department that the school be closed for deep cleaning.  Students who are not quarantined will return to school on October 19, 2020.
