Kiddie Fair and Pre-K Registration kicks off on April 17 at Fayetteville Memorial Building as Universal Pre-K Registration opens

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) Heads up for Fayette County families!

Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 universal Pre K program.

Children who live in Fayette County and turn four years old before July 1 are eligible to apply.

Registration runs now through June 1.

Parents will need several documents, including a certified birth certificate, immunization records, proof of a recent well-child and dental exam, as well as proof of income and residency.

Officials say space is limited, and if more students apply than there are spots available, a lottery system will be used.

If you would like to register in person, Fayette County is hosting a Kiddie Fair and Pre-K Registration event on Friday, April 17, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Fayetteville Memorial Building.

There is no online application, so families will need to call or visit local pre-k partners to get started.

Placement decisions will begin in June, with letters sent out in July.
