Kanawha County man facing DUI charges in connection with Valentines Day crash that left passenger seriously injured

Charleston, WV (WOAY) State Police are investigating a serious crash in Kanawha County.
According to a media release, Trooper A.C. Walters responded on Saturday, February 14th, to a single-vehicle accident along Pennsylvania Avenue near Pinch.
When crews arrived, they discovered a car overturned on its roof.
A 19-year-old passenger had been ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to CAMC General Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers say their investigation led to the driver’s arrest, 21-year-old Brett Mullins of South Charleston.
He’s charged with Driving Under the Influence Causing Injury, along with additional traffic-related offenses.
Investigators believe speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
Mullins was taken to the South-Central Regional Jail, where he’s awaiting arraignment.
The investigation remains ongoing.
