Interstate 77 Northbound Lanes Open Following Tractor-Trailer Crash

WOAY – Both northbound lanes on Interstate 77 are re-opened around mile marker 46.5 following a tractor-trailer crash early Friday morning.

According to a Facebook post from the Bradley-Prosperity Volunteer Fire Department, nine total members responded to a call around 3:00 AM at mile marker 46.5, after a tractor-trailer carrying food products crashed into a road sign on the right shoulder. Jan-Care Ambulance, West Virginia State Police, Evergreen Environmental and Glen’s Wrecker Service also responded to the scene.

One person was trapped inside the vehicle, but was able to be removed to allow for EMS evaluation. Both lanes were clear for normal traffic around 6:50 AM.
