Monroe County,WV (WOAY) – Hunter Springs Road in Monroe County is scheduled to close to through traffic daily starting Monday, December 4 at 7:00am through Friday, December 8 for canopy clearing.
Crews are currently cutting branches and brush hanging roadways statewide to preserve the life span of the road’s pavement.
Moist pavement results in the asphalt becoming destroyed and clearing the canopies provides additional sunlight to the roadways below.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances may impact the project schedule.
The West Virginia Division of Highways apologizes in advance for the inconvenience.
Travelers should observe all traffic control signs and use caution when driving around the work zone.
