Hot, Dry Pattern Hits Midweek Roadblock

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Severe storms pushing into western West Virginia will dry up prior to reaching our region, but the sky will turn a bit dark.

GENERAL PATTERN: High pressure will bring dry and hot weather again Monday and Tuesday. A random storm is possible Tuesday afternoon, but ultimately most of us will benefit from a shower or storm Wednesday afternoon from a cold front. The front stalls Thursday, so a few showers are likely. Friday will be dry and then a threat for showers returns this weekend. All told, less than 1″ of rain is expected through next weekend. The drought will continue.
