Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – Oak Hill softball hosted PikeView on Monday, with both teams looking for a key win in the early weeks of the season.
The Lady Panthers took the lead through Abby Lester bringing in the first two runs of the game, while Oak Hill loaded the bases twice in the first inning, but the PikeView defense made plays to maintain the 2-0 lead.
In the second inning, the bases were loaded for Savannah Holbrook, whose triple to left center gave the Lady Red Devils a 3-2 lead, and Oak Hill would go on to win 12-4.
Oak Hill will host Woodrow Wilson on Tuesday, and PikeView will next be in action at 2016 Class AA state runners-up James Monroe.
