RENICK, WV (WOAY) – The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a fugitive with a history of carrying weapons.
According to Sheriff Bart Baker, Jason Roberts, a 52-year-old man from Renick, is wanted on felony warrants for grand larceny, breaking and entering, and destruction of property.
Roberts was last seen outside a house on Benedict Lane yesterday afternoon.
Before deputies could arrive, Roberts left the scene in a car driven by somebody else.
That car was later found on Vago Road. Deputies believe Roberts fled on foot into the woods. Deputies searched the area with K-9s but were unable to locate him.
The sheriff’s office warns people not to approach Roberts and to call 911 if they spot him. Deputies do not know if Roberts is armed, but he has a history of carrying weapons.
