LEWISBURG, WV (WOAY) – The Greenbrier county sheriff is running for reelection. Sheriff Sloan has been in office for three years and hopes to continue his appointment for another term.
“During the past three years, we’ve made a lot of progress with the Greenbrier county sheriff’s office. My past employment with the state police has been very beneficial to me and the duties associated with the sheriff. We’ve made a lot of progress, implemented a lot of new programs,” Sloan said when asked about his time in office.
Before becoming sheriff, Sloan was a member of the West Virginia state police for more than 20 years. The primary election for Sheriff is this May. Sloan is currently running unopposed.
