Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department is bringing a community outreach event to Oak Hill this week.
Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton are partnering with Oak Hill Mayor Charles Briscoe to host the “You Are Not Alone” Outreach at the Oak Hill Amphitheater on April 17. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The outreach is open to anyone struggling with substance abuse, mental health challenges, homelessness, or other hardships.
Peer specialists, volunteers, and representatives from multiple organizations will be on-site to connect people with resources on the spot. Organizers say no questions will be asked and no judgment passed.
The Oak Hill Police Department will also have an officer present during the event.
