RAINELLE, WV (WOAY) – Matt Ford has won the Republican primary for the Greenbrier County Commission Western District unexpired term.
According to preliminary results, Ford defeated Bill Bell in the two-way primary. No Democrat filed for the seat.
The seat is currently held in an interim capacity by Woody Hannah, a former commissioner who was appointed to fill the vacancy left by Tammy Tincher. Tincher resigned in October to take a position with the National Association of Counties.
