Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) Families are invited to kick off the school year at Thrive Fest this Saturday, August 8, in Oak Hill.
Hosted by the Fayette Prevention Coalition, the free event runs from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Oak Hill Amphitheater.
There will be food trucks, lawn games, free haircuts, school supplies, clothing, community resources, and a collaborative painting project.
The Fayette County Health Department will also provide vaccinations on site.
Organizers say the event is designed to help students and families prepare for the new school year while connecting with valuable community resources.
