Fayette County day care worker tests positive for coronavirus

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY)- An asymptomatic daycare worker at a Place to
Grow in Oak Hill was identified during the COVID-19 screening per Governor Jim Justice’s order.

All daycare families have been notified and children were promptly released so disinfection of the facility per DHHR guidelines can take place. Close contacts will be quarantined and
monitored for 14 days.

The Fayette County Health Department is working closely with the facility to assure the safety of all children and staff. Testing is being offered for all daycare staff and children through the Fayette County Health Department. Call 304-574-1617 for an appointment.

The Health Department asks that as businesses open up, the community continue to practice physical distancing, wash hands, and wear face coverings when in public. If you have questions or feel you need to be tested, please contact your primary care provider or the Fayette County Health Department.
