Fayette County Animal Shelter thanks community for its support following severe flooding that washed out the bridge to the facility

Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) The Fayette County Animal Shelter is thanking several members of the community for stepping up to help following severe flooding that washed out the bridge to the facility.
Oak Hill City Manager Tyler Bragg, along with Kyle Hobbs, Nick Milam, P.J. Elder, Fayetteville city employee Mark Reed, Sonny Milam, Central Excavating owner John Legg, and Noah Miller all came together to help plate the bridge leading to the Fayette County Animal Shelter.
The shelter says their work has created a temporary way for employees to safely move animals across the bridge on foot.
Officials say this is only a temporary solution, but a major step forward as they work on a long-term plan.
The shelter is also thanking everyone who has reached out and offered to help, saying the response is a powerful example of community coming together when it’s needed most.
