The jet stream is pushing systems across the country at rapid pace, but none of them offer significant weather for southern West Virginia.
THROUGH TUESDAY: Mid and high clouds will make for a glamourous sunset and keep temperatures milder than last night. Believe it or not, Tuesday will be warmer between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. than it will during the mid-to-late afternoon (typically the warmest part of the day) thanks to a cold front that will knock the temperature down a few degrees. No rain is expected with the front.
WEDNESDAY TO MONDAY: A solid, thick cloud deck early Wednesday will fade and, wow, temperatures will skyrocket to 60 degrees in the late afternoon. A cold front will trigger 0.25″ of rain Thursday followed by snow showers overnight to early Friday. Only a few sidewalks will see a light dusting of accumulation. Another front pushes through Saturday with a few showers and breezy wind ahead of it and cooler temperatures in its wake for Sunday.
The most significant storm system promises a healthier dose of rain (0.50-1.0″) Tuesday into Wednesday next week (March 4-5) followed by a colder pattern on its flip side.
