BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Family Worship Center is providing children a way to enjoy their yearly vacation bible school program in an online format.
The yearly program is a week-long activity that kids participate in every evening. It involves educational and hands-on experiences to provide children a creative outlet.
And to reflect that in the online version of the program, the church provided families with take-home kits that they can use in-person at home when they participate online.
“What we’ve been doing is we give them a VBS (Vacation Bible School) kit which has game ideas and snack ideas that they can do at home with their family. And then when we come together at our ceremony at 8 o’clock at night, then we can share those snacks and crafts and do some of those things together.”
The program began this past Monday, and the church says they’ve had around 30 kids participate so far.
