Family raffles off handcrafted American Flag for son’s service dog

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – A Fayette County mother has been selling raffle tickets to raise money for a service dog for her 13-year-old son who suffers from mental health illness.

For over a month, Sara Tucker has been putting on fundraisers to help cut the cost of a service dog she gave to her son who is battling mental health illness.

“The response was amazing for the raffle tickets for the flag. People loved the way the flag looked and the reason why we were doing the raffle, which was to help Jacob,” said Tucker.

Today, Sara, her son Jacob and close friends Libby Lucas and Sean Campbell raffled off an handcrafted American Flag.

“We are really blessed in Fayette County because anytime that we have something like this in Fayette County they always come in support. But for people not to know Jacob,” said close friend Libby Lucas.

The family will host another raffle drawing next month.

“This is something that she has to keep doing because the puppy has to have training. This is one and we’re getting ready to do another one with an donation of a presentation from, so we be doing that next and have the information on Facebook,” said Lucas.

You can purchase rattle tickets for the next drawing by contacting Sara Tucker or Libby Lucas on their Facebook page.
