BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Beckley exhibition coal mine hopes to reopen soon.
After the governor announced that museums could open their doors again, the exhibition coal mine started looking at what reopening would look like for the popular attraction.
With an interactive youth museum and an exhibition mine, social distancing isn’t always possible.
“You do things together; it’s designed to do things together with family with friends and very, very hands-on with the exhibition coal mine. We also are in a very confined space nobody has given us direction yet about caves or attractions like the lost world or something that would be similar to that,” says Leslie Baker.
With a staff of several seniors, the exhibition coal mine has everyone’s safety in mind. You can stay up-to-date with information regarding the reopening by following its Facebook page.
