ELKINS, WV (WOAY) – An Elkins police officer received non-life-threatening injuries while effecting an arrest tonight around 7:30 p.m.
Senior Patrolman Daniel Sayre, age 25 and an Elkins Police Department officer since 2015, was shot and is being transported by helicopter to Morgantown.
A suspect is in custody.
