It’s going to a fairly dry week across Southern West Virginia. The European model and the GFS model are both somewhat agreeing in a small isolated chance of rain for Saturday. This will likely come in Saturday after 2 PM, the cause of this very low chance of rain will be a cold front moving into the region. The reason that there won’t be a lot of rain chance with it is just because this cold front will be moving into a very dry airmass.
The European model estimates a few hundredths of an inch of rainfall could occur wherever the rain showers do develop. This will not be a lot of rain for any and most people will stay dry. As we are abnormally dry and trending toward drought conditions, this will not be enough to help us out much.

Looking at the full 7 day forecast, once we get through tonight we are going to warm up pretty drastically into next week. With mostly sunny skies, temperatures should soar into the low 80’s by Sunday. Some models are showing signals for rain chances Monday into Wednesday, but the variance is too great right now to warrant a rain chance. That is something we will continue to watch.
