A lovely weekend was in store for Southern West Virginia, temperatures were pretty warm across the area and we were fairly dry. As we head through the next week, the warm temperatures will remain, but we do have a few small chances of rain showers for our area. That is a very good thing knowing we have the drought continuing to worsen every day we don’t have rain.

Taking a look at where the heaviest rainfall over the next 7 days looks to occur, it seems a little displaced from where the worst drought is currently, but good overlap in our western counties does occur. Some places look to see around a quarter to half inch of rainfall, with most of this falling on Thursday night and Sunday.

There is the full 7-day outlook. The temperatures will continue to rise to potentially record territory on Wednesday. A few chances of rain within the next 7 days, but overall, we will continue to have amazing weather days across Southern West Virginia!
