Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – There is a new group in the area for first responders.
On their new Facebook page, the Fayette County Firefighter Association Critical Incident Response Team, CIRT for short, posted that they came together to help provide a peer support group to help process everything first responders go through.
They are able to aid any first responder who may be suffering from the stress of the job, including PTSD.
CIRT states they can help anyone all over West Virginia, and they boast that they have a combined 150 years of experience in emergency services. They also have a licensed mental health professional on deck.
They urge any first responders who may be struggling to reach out. Their Facebook page is ‘Fayette Co Firefighters Critical Incident Response Team’.
