Athens, WV (WOAY)- Concord University’s Department of Physical and Environmental Science will host a Solar Eclipse viewing party on Monday, April 8.
The event will take place from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the CU observatory and is open to the public.
The university has two telescopes with solar filters installed, allowing attendants to view the eclipse.
Astronomy students will be on standby to discuss the eclipse and answer questions.
In Athens, the moon will cover 90% of the sun at 3:13 pm.
