Beckley man pleads guilty to federal drug offense

CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – A Beckley man has pled guilty to a federal drug crime.

Michael Dwayne Kelly, II, a 34-year-old man from Beckley, pled guilty to possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin.

Kelly sold a combined total of approximately 35 grams of fentanyl to a confidential informant in January and February of 2022.

Law enforcement raided his house during that time period and found 189 grams of fentanyl, 27 grams of heroin, and 56 grams of cocaine. They also found four handguns and over $13,000 in cash.

Kelly is facing 20 years in jail, three years of supervised release, and a one-million-dollar fine.

His co-defendant, Savannah Elizabeth Todd, a 31-year-old woman also from Beckley, pled guilty back in March.
