Athens, WV (WOAY) – Concord University will host “Bridging Rural Communities: Telehealth Innovations for Appalachia and Beyond,” a free, full-day event on Friday, August 1.
The conference will take place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at University Point.
This event is for health professionals, social workers, community advocates, caregivers, and anyone working to expand access to care in rural areas.
Dive into TED-style talks, expert panels, and hands-on sessions that explore real-world solutions for Appalachia’s most pressing health challenges, such as mental health, diabetes, substance use disorder, and more.
There will also be collaborative discussions to help shape a future report in the Journal of Appalachian Health.
Topics include digital literacy, broadband access, workforce training, and effective communication strategies.
