City of Oak Hill recognizes the New River Alliance of Climbers for making a difference throughout the area with their dedication to volunteer work and public safety

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) The City of Oak Hill is recognizing a group making a real difference at Needleseye Park.

City leaders say the New River Alliance of Climbers (NRAC) continues to support the park through safety upgrades and volunteer work.

That work includes installing modern, industry-standard climbing anchors, as well as helping with trash and graffiti removal.

Their latest contribution, purchasing a new titanium, one-wheeled rescue litter, will help EMS crews better respond to emergencies deep within the park.

The City of Oak Hill also contributes $1,000 each year to support NRAC’s ongoing efforts to keep them climbing.
