Christian Boteler joined the StormWatch Team in October 2024 as the Weekend Meteorologist.
Christian graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences. He was a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Chapter at UMD as well, even attending the AMS meeting in Baltimore this year. His favorite weather to forecast is winter weather, as he worked on forecasting and verifying these events during his academic career.
Outside of his work, Christian enjoys football, baseball, and hockey (Go DC!) and road tripping. His biggest road trip was to Burlington, Vermont in April this year to witness the Total Solar Eclipse, and he has plans of traveling to Australia for the eclipse in 2028.
